Research-driven UI/UX design process translating business objectives into clear, intuitive user interfaces

UI/UX Design

Product Engineering & Design
OVERVIEW

What we do

Our designers work alongside senior engineers from the first day of every engagement. What we design is buildable, performant, and grounded in real technical constraints. We conduct user research, define information architecture, prototype interactions, and validate with real users before committing to code. The result is interfaces that reduce friction at every touchpoint, increase task completion rates, and translate directly into measurable business outcomes. We work in Figma with fully documented design systems that your team can maintain and extend independently.

WHAT WE DELIVER

Capabilities

User Research & Testing

Qualitative and quantitative research methods including moderated interviews, unmoderated usability testing via Maze or UserTesting, A/B testing frameworks, and heuristic evaluations. We ground every design decision in observed user behaviour, not assumptions or aesthetic preference.

Interaction & Motion Design

Micro-interactions, page transitions, loading states, and feedback patterns that make complex applications feel intuitive and responsive. We define animation curves, duration values, and easing functions that your engineering team can implement with precision using CSS, Framer Motion, or Lottie.

Design Systems

Scalable component libraries in Figma with documented design tokens, variant structures, and composable patterns. Our design systems include accessibility specifications, dark mode variants, and responsive breakpoint behaviour. Built to grow with your product without accumulating design debt.

Responsive & Adaptive Design

Layouts engineered for every screen size, from mobile-first progressive enhancement to complex desktop dashboard interfaces. We design with real content, real constraints, and real device testing - not idealised placeholder states that break in production.

How we work together

01

User Research & Discovery

Information Architecture

Visual Design & Prototyping

04

Design Systems & Handoff

Step 01

User Research & Discovery

We conduct stakeholder interviews, competitive audits, and user journey mapping to establish a clear understanding of who we are designing for and why. For existing products, we analyse usage analytics, session recordings, and support tickets to identify friction points. Deliverables include user personas, journey maps, and a research synthesis document.

Step 02

Information Architecture

Content structure, navigation hierarchies, and low-fidelity wireframes that define the logical skeleton of the product. We validate information architecture through card sorting exercises and tree testing with representative users before investing in visual design. This phase prevents costly restructuring later in development.

Step 03

Visual Design & Prototyping

High-fidelity mockups in Figma with interactive prototypes that bring the product to life. We design responsive layouts across breakpoints, define motion and micro-interaction patterns, and create clickable prototypes for stakeholder review and usability testing. Every design decision is documented with rationale.

Step 04

Design Systems & Handoff

Component libraries in Figma with documented tokens for colour, typography, spacing, and elevation. Each component includes usage guidelines, states, variants, and responsive behaviour. Developer handoff includes redline specifications, animation timing values, and asset exports optimised for web and native platforms.
